Charge Your Xiaomi Smartphone Using Sound Charging Technology

Xiaomi has developed a technology which consent to smartphones and other electrical devices to charge using sound. While charging using this sound charge technology it turns the tremor from sound waves into alternative current (AC), and thus converted into DC power for charging the devices.

A licence on the CNIPA (China National Intellectual Property Administration) has requested by the Chinese manufacturer which disclose some vital information with reference to “Sound Charging” which bring to light for the future.

In accordance with the licence document interpretation, “a sound charging device, an energy storage device, and an electronic device” are the 3 main devices used by Xiaomi. These devices grabs vibrations from sound and converts it into mechanical vibrations. These mechanical vibration is thus convert into its alternative current by using an electronic device which is incorporates with Xiaomi. At last this AC is converted into DC by using a power converter.

As stated in the patent, this sound charging technology likely to be used for charging smartphones and other electronic appliances without a power socket.

Latterly, the company divulged its 200W Hyper Charge Technology where it can charge a 400mAh battery fully within 8 minutes.

“The fact that the company has registered a patent does not guarantee that it will use the technology in the near future. When it comes to commercializing new technology, there are several variables to consider. We’ll have to wait and watch whether Xiaomi shows off its sound charging technology in the near future.”
