Reliance Jio : Put Up Two India-Centric International Submarine Cable Systems

Reliance Jio the largest Telecom operator divulged that ,it is going to erect two largest International Submarine Cable System centred on India .

The India-Asia-Xpress (IAX) and the India-Europe-Xpress (IEX)  are the two cables constructing by Jio.

The India-Asia-Xpress (IAX), will affix India eastbound to the Asia Pacific, and will elongates its connectivity from Mumbai and Chennai to Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore.

Whereas the second cable, the India-Europe-Xpress (IEX) cable, will link India to alightings in Italy, the Middle East, and North Africa.

“Mathew Oommen, President, Reliance Jio said, “To meet the demands of Streaming Video, Remote Workforce, 5G, IoT, and beyond, Jio is taking a leadership role in the construction of the first of its kind, India-centric IAX and IEX subsea systems. Implementing these critical initiatives in the shadow of a global pandemic is a challenge, but the ongoing pandemic has only accelerated the digital transformation and the necessity of high-performance global connectivity for the delivery of a richer experience to enterprises and consumers.”

After connecting to the Asia Pacific and Europe, the two cables will also be affix to Reliance Jio’s global fibre network, by this mechanism it will also expand its connection to both the east and west coast of the US.

These systems  provide a high capacity with high speed connection  which is more than 200Tbps of capacity which spanning over 16000Km .  As per the opinion of Jio this method  is carrying through  by open system technology and wavelength switched RoADM/branching units.

The world’s top interchange points and tranquil centres  for addendum of service were interlinked with the systems. IAX and IEX will boost the capability to access content and cloud services in and out of India for the consumers and enterprise users.

It is the first time in the chronicle of fiber optic  submarine telecommunications, these systems place India at the centre of the international network map.

India : A Major Production Hub For ACC Batteries By ICEA

Indian government latterly declared about the extension of Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme to Advanced Chemistry Cell (ACC) battery storage in our country. On Wednesday September 11, India sanctioned  around Rs18000 crore to Indian Cellular and Electronics Association (ICEA) to manufacture the core component.

This project was approved by our Hon. P M ,Narendra Modi  chaired by Union Cabinet. The aim of this project  is , everyone in the country should  divert to electric vehicles to deterrent pervasive pollution in major cities and also to cut credit on exorbitant oil imports.

The plan of action of the scheme is to put up 50 GIGA watt hour production capacity for advance chemistry cell batteries. According to Indian government the total investment for this project be around 45000 crore and among this, 18000 crore has been released for the work of battery storage manufacturing.

“Each selected ACC battery storage manufacturer would have to commit to set up an ACC manufacturing facility of minimum 5GWh capacity and ensure a minimum 60% domestic value addition at the project level within five years,” the government said in a statement.

ACC batteries are offspring whch has ultra modern storage technology which can store electric energy either as electrochemical or as chemical energy and can convert it back to electric energy as and when required.

“We at ICEA believes that the PLI scheme would give thrust to ‘Make in India’ initiative and will attract huge investments of Rs 45,000 crore plus in the coming years. With this push for ACC batteries, the sector would witness robust growth in the coming years,” said Pankaj Mohindroo, Chairman, ICEA.

The ACC batteries encloses large sectors which includes electric vehicles,  mobiles, consumer electronics, solar rooftop , etc..The success of this scheme leads India’s pioneering immaculate energy targets and the sporadic nature of electricity from clean energy sources.
