EasyDNS Now Accepts Dogecoin As A Form Of Payment

Dogecoin appears to be riding the crest of the surge. EasyDNS, the first Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) registrar to recognize cryptocurrency as a mode of payment, became the first to do so on April 17th, 2021.

The company also claimed to be the first to accept the numerous cryptocurrencies that are currently booming in the sector. This is a significant victory for the cryptocurrency, which has been rapidly increasing in value this week. Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has long been a proponent of cryptocurrency.

Thanks to some cryptic and not-so-cryptic tweets from the likes of Musk, Dogecoin has risen nearly 400% in the last week.

With this, easyDNS enters the ranks of businesses that have recently become interested in Dogecoin. Billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban was one of the first to do so, announcing in March that his NBA team, the Dallas Mavericks, would accept Dogecoin as payment for tickets and merchandise.

When cryptocurrency ATM provider CoinFlip made Dogecoin available for purchase at 1,800 ATMs across 46 states in the United States, the digital currency gained even more traction.

Website for adult entertainment PornHub has also added Dogecoin to its list of accepted cryptocurrencies, which includes Bitcoin, Ethereum, and others.
